Here is my board for the kitchen. I’d love to get new cabinets, but I highly doubt that will happen (unless I win the lottery). So, they will definitely be painted. I’ve included three color palettes and I’d like your opinions. I’m thinking the darker color on the lower cabinets and the lighter color on the uppers, but I’m open to suggestions. Also, as you can see in my first post, all the appliances are a biscuit color. Since they’re all pretty new, I’m just going to work with it.

Anna…LOVE the bathroom idea! I am a fan of brights and that pink is such a POP of color! We have granite in our condo and I put a neutral with blood red splotches in the kitchen and darker (almost black) in the 2 baths. The bathroom ones drive me nuts cuz they show dust SO MUCH! I’m sure part of it is the construction still going on in the building as our furniture is dusty too. The kitchen granite doesn’t show the dust though!
Love the idea of bi-color cabinets…personally I’d avoid the black because of the size of your kitchen…grey would be my color of choice! I bookmarked your blog so I can keep up with your remodel!

OH yes that picture is way prettier, I see why you’d prefer that over the countertop pattern. If you only did about a 3″ or 4″ backsplash though, that might be pretty too! Thanks for the input! I feel like that picture isn’t the greatest representation of the subway tiles, but it’s the best I could find in a close color to what I want. This (http://s3.amazonaws.com/atimg/689425/05subwaytiles_rect540.jpg) picture has the larger size I’d like to use. And I’d definitely have coordinating grout so it would blend together. I think if I used the counter top pattern on the backsplash it would just be way too busy and dark =/
Oh I really like the idea of split coloring the cabinets, that could be really pretty! I think the grays are prettiest with the countertop pick, and maybe use that same countertop pick as the backsplash instead of the subway tiles? Its just a thought, I feel like they kind of compete against eachother somehow.
